Präludium in F Major — Wedding Processional

Fanny Hensel had asked her brother Felix—who was abroad in London—to write a wedding processional for her. But a couple weeks before the wedding, Felix was injured badly enough that he could not compose or travel back to Berlin for the wedding. So in late September 1829, a few days before the wedding, Fanny wrote this piece—the first she ever composed for organ, and one of only two she ever completed.
